What happens if I upload a photo without internet?
If you upload a photo while offline or with poor connectivity, Flippd queues it locally and syncs it automatically when your connection is restored.
How It Works
You add or update a photo on an inventory item
If the upload fails due to connectivity issues, the photo is saved to a local queue
When your internet connection is restored, Flippd automatically uploads the photo in the background
Once the upload completes, the item is updated with the new photo
Pending Upload Indicator
On the item's detail screen, a pending badge appears on the photo until it syncs. Tap the badge to retry the upload right away. There's no indicator on the inventory list itself.
Retry Behavior
Failed uploads retry automatically, up to 10 times
You can also manually retry a pending upload from the item detail screen -- a manual retry resets the automatic retry count
If all automatic retries fail, the photo remains in the queue for manual retry
Good to Know
Up to 50 pending uploads can be stored at a time. If the queue is full, the oldest pending upload is dropped to make room for the new one
The upload queue survives app restarts -- your photos won't be lost if you close the app
If you change the cover photo while its upload is still pending, the new cover replaces the pending one. Additional gallery photos each queue separately
Uploads resume automatically when connectivity improves -- no action needed from you
