Can I turn off AI suggestions when adding items?

There is no setting or toggle to disable AI suggestions in Flippd, but you can prevent them by entering a title before adding photos. When an item already has a title, Flippd skips automatic image analysis and will not overwrite any of your details.

How to Prevent AI Suggestions

1. Open the Inventory tab and tap the + button to create a new item
2. Type your item's name in the Title field before adding photos
3. Tap the camera icon to take or upload your photos
4. Complete any remaining details such as Cost of Good, Category, and Date Acquired
5. Tap Add

Because the title field was already filled, Flippd bypasses automatic image recognition and keeps your entered information intact.

Editing or Replacing Suggested Details

If you add a photo before typing a title and Flippd suggests details:

1. Tap the Title field to change or replace the suggested title
2. Tap the Category dropdown to choose a different category
3. Edit or delete any text added to the Notes field
4. Tap Save (or Add for a new item)

Good to Know

• No toggle in Settings: There is no toggle for AI image recognition in Settings > Feature Visibility or anywhere else in the app.
• Empty fields only: Flippd's AI image analysis only fills in blank fields. It never overwrites a title, category, or note that you have already entered.
• Photos remain optional: You do not have to add photos to save an item, but you also do not have to skip photos to avoid AI suggestions—simply enter the title first.
• Suggestions are editable: All AI suggestions appear directly in the standard item fields. Nothing is saved or permanent until you tap Add or Save.
