How do I add items or ask my Coach with Siri?
On iPhone and iPad running iOS 16 or later, Flippd comes with four built-in Siri shortcuts: Add Item, Ask Coach, Mileage, and Inventory. There is nothing to set up. Say a phrase like "Add an item in Flippd" and the app opens straight to the add-item screen. Siri shortcuts are iOS only; they are not available on Android or on the web.
Step-by-Step
Make sure you're signed in to Flippd on your iPhone or iPad
Hold the side button (or say "Hey Siri") and use one of these phrases:
Add Item -- opens the add-item flow
"Add an item in Flippd"
"Add an item to Flippd"
"Add inventory in Flippd"
"Log a new item in Flippd"
Ask Coach -- opens Your Coach chat
"Ask my Flippd coach"
"Talk to my Flippd coach"
"Open the coach in Flippd"
Mileage -- opens the mileage screen
"Track my mileage in Flippd"
"Start mileage tracking in Flippd"
"Open mileage in Flippd"
Inventory -- opens your inventory list
"Show my inventory in Flippd"
"Open my Flippd inventory"
"Search my inventory in Flippd"
Flippd opens on the matching screen. Finish the action in the app as usual: fill in the item and tap Save, type your question to your Coach, start a trip from the mileage screen, or search your inventory.
To run the same shortcuts without speaking, open Apple's Shortcuts app, find Flippd under App Shortcuts, and tap one. You can also find them by typing in Spotlight search.
Good to Know
The four shortcuts are added automatically when you install Flippd. You don't need to record a phrase or build anything in the Shortcuts app.
The shortcuts open the app; they don't complete the action for you. Add Item takes you to a blank new item, and Mileage opens the tracking screen -- trips are started from there, not by the shortcut itself.
If you aren't signed in yet (for example on a fresh install), Flippd holds the request and opens the right screen once your account has loaded.
Siri shortcuts are available on iOS 16 and later. Older versions of iOS can still run the app, just without these shortcuts.
