Poshmark Fees Explained: What Sellers Actually Keep in 2026

Poshmark takes a flat $2.95 under $15 and 20% at $15 and over, with the shipping label included. The real numbers on a $12, $40 and $120 sale, and the $14.75 break-even.

Poshmark has the simplest fee schedule of any major resale platform and the one sellers complain about most. Both things are true. Here is exactly what Poshmark takes in 2026, what is included in it, and the real payout on three typical sales. For your own item, the Poshmark fee calculator does it instantly.

Rates are Poshmark's published US seller fees as of October 2026. Check Poshmark's own fee page before relying on them for a big sale.

The two-tier commission

Poshmark charges one fee, and which one depends on the sale price:

  • Sales under $15: a flat $2.95.
  • Sales of $15 and over: 20% of the sale price.

That is the whole list. There is no listing fee, no monthly fee and no separate payment processing fee. What the calculator shows is what comes out.

What the 20% includes

The reason Poshmark's percentage is higher than eBay's 13.6% or Mercari's 10% is that it is paying for something those fees do not: the shipping label. Every Poshmark sale ships with a prepaid USPS Priority Mail label good for up to 5 lb. The buyer pays a flat $7.67 for shipping directly to Poshmark, you print the label, and none of that touches your payout.

Put another way: on eBay you pay 13.6% on the item and the shipping, then buy your own label. On Poshmark you pay 20% on the item only, and the label is handled. For a $40 clothing item, those two often land within a dollar of each other. The fee comparator shows the crossover at any price.

The $14.75 cliff

Because the fee switches from a flat $2.95 to a percentage at $15, there is a small pricing quirk worth knowing. At $14.99 you keep $12.04. At $15.00 you keep $12.00. The two methods cost the same at $14.75, so anything priced between $14.75 and $14.99 nets you slightly more than listing at $15. Below $14.75 the flat fee is the worse deal: a $6 sale keeps you only $3.05, which is why very cheap items rarely make sense on Poshmark unless they are bundled.

Three worked examples

A $12 t-shirt

Sale price$12.00
Poshmark fee (flat)$2.95
Your payout$9.05

Buyer pays $7.67 shipping on top; you print the label. If the shirt cost you $2, net profit is $7.05.

A $40 pair of boots

Sale price$40.00
Poshmark fee, 20%$8.00
Your payout$32.00

At $10 cost, you clear $22. Boots are heavy, and this is where the included label earns its keep: shipping boots yourself on another platform can run $12 or more.

A $120 handbag

Sale price$120.00
Poshmark fee, 20%$24.00
Your payout$96.00

At $45 cost, net $51. The label is still included, so a light, high-value item like this is where Poshmark's fee feels most expensive relative to eBay.

Things that change the payout

  • Offering free or discounted shipping. You can, but the shipping cost comes out of your earnings. Offer free shipping on that $40 sale and your payout drops from $32.00 to $24.33.
  • Bundles. Bundling two $12 items into one $24 sale moves you from two flat fees ($5.90) to one 20% fee ($4.80), and you ship once. It is the easiest way to lift your margin on low-priced items.
  • Offers to likers. Poshmark requires a shipping discount when you send a private offer; that discount is paid by you.
  • Returns. If Poshmark approves a return, you pay no fee on that sale and the item comes back on a prepaid label.
  • Items over 5 lb. The included label covers 5 lb. Heavier items need a label upgrade that you pay for.

The rule of thumb

Above $15, you keep 80% of the sale price and never think about shipping. To hit a target profit: add your item cost to the profit you want, then divide by 0.8. A $10 item you want $20 on needs to sell for $37.50.

Keeping the real number

Flippd records each Poshmark sale against the item you bought, applies the right fee tier for the price, and shows profit after what you paid for it. At year end your fees are already totalled, which is one less thing to reconstruct at tax time. Selling the same inventory on eBay as well? eBay's fees are broken down the same way here.
