Mileage Tracker FAQ

What is the IRS mileage rate for 2026?

There are two rates for 2026 — the IRS raised it mid-year. Business driving is $0.725 per mile (72.5 cents) from 1 January to 30 June, and $0.76 per mile (76 cents) from 1 July to 31 December. Either way it covers gas, maintenance, insurance and depreciation in one deduction, and Flippd picks the rate from the trip date so a full-year total is right without splitting it yourself.

Can resellers deduct mileage on taxes?

Yes! If you're reselling as a business (even part-time), you can deduct mileage for business-related driving. This includes sourcing trips, shipping runs, and supply store visits.

What records do I need for mileage deductions?

Keep a log with the date, destination, business purpose, and miles driven for each trip. Flippd automatically records this for you when you track trips in the app.

How much can resellers save with mileage deductions?

A reseller driving 5,000 miles/year for sourcing could deduct $3,625 at the 2026 rate. In a 22% tax bracket, that's about $800 in actual tax savings.
